§ 25-2. Removal of Dangerous Trees; Time Limit.

  • A. 
    All Carolina Poplar Trees and Callery Pear Trees now existing within any public street in the Borough are hereby declared to be, individually and collectively, a public nuisance, and if after 30 days' notice the owner of any property abutting thereon shall fail to cut down or remove such tree or trees, the work shall be done by the Borough and the cost paid by the property owner together with a penalty equaling 10% of the cost of the tree removal.
    B. 
    The provisions of this section shall apply as well to any tree causing or liable to cause damage to any public sewer, water line, pavement or other public improvement or obstructing the proper use of a public street by the public.
